Ufa-based artist Mansur Ziyayev created one of the largest artworks of the Stenograffia festival. “On the Shore of This Quiet River” is a mural spanning over 600 square metres, based on a collage of historical archive photos of Yekaterinburg. The piece explores the city and its relationship with nature: depictions of plants and the river flow smoothly from rural motifs into an urban landscape.
The artwork was inspired by the song “On the Shore of a Nameless River” by the band Nautilus Pompilius and named in its honour.
